WRITING YOUR WILL
Who should be the trustees of my children’s trust?
Who should be the trustees of my children’s trust?

It is advisable that you have more than one trustee and a maximum of three. Choose people who you know and trust - whose integrity is beyond reproach. Try to appoint one professional person as one of your trustees, like a lawyer or an accountant, who will know about the formalities regarding the administration of a trust - like filing trust resolutions, ensuring the trust accounts are submitted to the Master as and when necessary. Take note,  professionals will charge your trust for their time spent on the work they do. The trustees will be responsible for managing the assets you leave behind for your children and ensure that the trust's assets and income are managed in a way which ensures that the trust can provide your children with their daily needs, the necessary education etc. The bigger the asset value of your children's trust, and the better the management of the trust assets and income, the more opportunities your children will have. The proper management of your children's trust is therefore imperative.
