How much money should I leave for my pet's care?
How much money should I leave for my pet's care?
Updated over a week ago

If you wish to make provision for your pet after you pass on, there are a few things to consider. Firstly, you need to decide who you are going to appoint as your pet's guardian and then you need to decide how much money you are going to leave for this guardian to take care of your pet.

To determine approximate costs, we recommend that you calculate the annual current costs to care for your pet, and multiply that figure by the pet’s remaining life expectancy (check up average life expectancy for the particular breed), plus add some extra for medical care as the pet ages. Take into consideration all pet related expenses including food, treats, vet visits, medication, grooming, walking services, toys and bedding.
